Distributor Alliance Program

In accordance with Ferguson Enterprise, LLC corporate policy, all small businesses who are distributors or resellers to federal, state or local governments must be approved under our Distributor Alliance Program (DAP). Completing and submitting the application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

The Distributor Alliance Program is the Ferguson program for certified Small, M/WBE, VBE and DBE who utilize Ferguson as a vendor partner to resell our products to the following: federal, state, local governments, private and public corporations.

Qualifying businesses for the Distributor Alliance Program

In order to participate in the DAP, companies MUST be certified by one of the third-party certifying entities below.

What we look for

The company must demonstrate a “commercially useful function” in the business operations. Please see the definition below:

Performing a “commercially useful function” in a material supply role requires distributors and resellers to add value to transactions through some meaningful combination of:

Developing relationships directly with contractors (general and subcontractors) and federal, state and local governments and corporate Supplier Diversity departments for opportunities:

  • Project management/contract performance

  • Providing product knowledge on the project

  • Quoting jobs directly with customers

  • Sourcing products from Ferguson under the DAP

  • Receiving purchase order(s) directly from customers

  • Negotiating pricing directly with customers

  • Arranging direct shipments/delivering of materials per contract requirements

  • Establishing creditworthiness with customers

  • Invoicing customers in a timely manner

  • Paying Ferguson within terms of contract
