This valve is designed for low pressure sump pump applications and can be mounted either vertically or horizontally
No pipe threading is required
The flexible union slips over ABS, PVC, steel pipe or copper pipe and the couplings on the 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" size can be mounted in either configuration on either end for connecting dissimilar size pipe diameters
The flexible couplings isolate motor noise from the piping and the internal flapper design reduces water hammer when the pump shuts off
The neoprene flapper is weighted with non-corrosive backing plates and stainless steel rivet and bends over a radius instead of a 90° edge for improved flapper life
